Ok thank you for the advice....with my 5x5 training I don't seem to ache the day after is this normal? I am getting stronger every week though

You need to be eating at least 5-6 times a day. High protein foods, and drink at least a gallon of water a day. I'm no expert by any means but I can usually lose or gain body weight easily through my diet

Here's a sample of my meal plan and it works great for me. Maybe it can give you some ideas for your on

Meal 1
3-4 eggs
4 slices of Bacon
5oz of greek yogurt
Cup of Coffee(no sugar use stevia or something like that)

Meal 2
Pouch of Tuna

Meal 3
Grilled or baked chicken breasts, beef patties, or fish fillets
Veges
Rice or pasta

Meal 4
Same as meal 3(slight differences)

Meal 5
Grilled or baked beef, fish, or chicken
Beans or baked potato(reg or sweet)
Salad

Meal 6(optional depending on how hungry I am or how late it is)
Protein shake w/2%milk

I also drink at least a gallon of water daily and I drink 3-4 glaases or green tea and 1 or 2 cups of coffe a day
