Default Hello

Been hanging around for a time just reading. figured I would register and say hello.
I am a little new to all this. Been officially lifting for a yr to get my health back, but as a youth and into my twenties I trained on the job sight, and in the back woods picking heavy shit up and moving to another spot. May sound odd but that has always been very enjoyable for me. Living in rural Manitoba never gave me a lot of ability to hit a gym.
The last yr has got me full of piss and vineagar again, and have found my interest have evolved from a More bodybuilding theme to Powerlifting. At 41 yr old I am excited for the alarm to go off at 4 am so I can hit the gym to snap my central nervous system before the work day begins.
some younger guys I work with have found out I train like they do and then look at me strange after they as what I can bench. I answer, then ask what the can dead lift or squat. that's when I get a strange look that says "what the hell is that" or "why would I want to do that"
At any rate loving the forum, has actually saved me a ton of time figuring stuff out.
