Default Whey Protein Concentrate prices

Here's a link showing charts of the fluctuating price of WPC over the years. I'm sure it will be of interest to some, even if only out of curiosity. 2012 is interesting, it dips really low in Aug/Sept (for the Central, West area), then rises again.

I remember when I could get Optimum Nutrition shipped from amazon for under 40$. Miss those days. I'm sure older lifters remember it being cheap as hell.

I remember getting the ON 10 pounders for somewhere around $40-45. Even with inflation the price still sucks nowadays.

We have a lot of whey producers up here and I know some of the big companies like gatorade and eating up a fair share of the supply.

I am waiting for the supplement industry to shift slightly to other forms of protein powder.

As in different forms of whey (isolate, hydrolyzed) or different sources (pea, hemp, egg, etc...)?

I remember there being some talk about gatorade really putting a hit on Whey a few years back when there new G series came out.

Glad I don't use much of it and that I don't pay for it....
