Default Mercersburgguy training log

10-17-13 Well this is my first entry I'm not even sure what I'm suppose to write. But I have started to work out and I started to do a low carb diet. I am open to any suggestions, advice, and support.

Current weight: 313.3lbs

Meal:
Breakfast: protein shake mixed with water and milk
AM Snack: protein shake with water
Lunch : baked chicken wings
PM Snack: natural PB to-go cup
Dinner: 2 hot dogs 4 slices of cheese, 1 cup broccoli mustard


Workout:
25 min HITT CARDIO (elliptical )

Bench Press:
110 X8
135x8
145X7
160x15

BB Curls
20lbs X 8
30 lbs x 5
40lbs X 5
50lbs X 5

Triceps
40x8
50x8
60x8


I know I did more than this but were not traditional moves. Having a work out partner is great. I will need to get a note book and take to the gym.

nice to see another log... keep hitting it hard mate, but yeah a notebook is essential in the gym. I note everything in my phone then update on here when I get back so I can always reference previous lifts

10-19-20: Did not get to gym today was not feeling all that great. Did have my cheat meal today had soup and a piece of bread. Was great but back to low carb but I'm learning a lot about how I much food really has controlled my life like last night hung out with friends and I wasn't hungry but I automatically reached for the chips.

Weight 302.7

Did not work out

Meals:
Breakfast: egg casserole with sausage, mushroom half and half

Lunch: pork loin mayo cheese

Dinner : chicken and spinach soup and 1 slice Texas toast(cheat meal)

Meals: wasn't feeling all that great today sort of felt foggy.
Breakfast: 4pc bacon 2 eggs scrambled with cheese.

Lunch: chicken wings, 1 hamburger with cheese and mayo

Dinner: kraut and pork ribs.
Was very happy with workout over all but need to be more focused on movements and form

Indeed nice benching and you will get the 225 soon enough.

You might want to try a different ramp up to it. If I'm going to try for a max, I usually just hit singles up to it and make smaller jumps. You were going from 160 for 5 to 225 for 1, which is tough to do unless your max is way over 225.

Maybe something like 160 for 3, 185 for 1, 205 for 1, then 225 for 1 would work a lot better. Just a thought.
