Just a short msg as im browing on my phone.
On two occasions I was over 175, my belly ballooned, but I was definitly bigger overall.
I think my issues was to do with bulking while already carrying a lot of belly fat.
So Im taking a different approch this time.

Martal arts injurys put a stop to both attempts. But this time Im focused on weight training.
Also, Im not after abs, just dont want to bloated.

I've come to the conclusion that I'm just not going to add lean mass quickly, even if I eat a ton. I'm not chasing abs either but I'd be lying if I said aesthetics wasn't a secondary goal. As long as I can make slow but steady progress, I'm good.

^^

I think everyone wants to look better on some level, even those don't say they don't care and don't make a change. As for slow but steady, time+consistency= success!

Bench
125x5
140x5
155x8 (5+3)
145x5
145x5

Press 60x20,17,15
Chin Ups 7,10,9

And some DB arms 2x15

Did this a day early because we are going out of town this weekend but one day less recovery wasn't a big deal as it turns out. I have no idea why but I just felt better today. The main lift went really well, and I finally got my 350 reps in on press. I'm also getting closer to my goal of 3x10 on the chins.

Thanks, it was one of the better days I've had recently so I was happy. Hopefully it will be a trend. The weekend is in Boston to see U Maine hockey at Fenway. But the weather is forecasted to be in the 50s with heavy rain. Should be interesting. It'll be fun to watch the Pats in town later, too.

Much obliged, BtB!

Front Squat
145x5
165x5
185x6 (5+1) rep PR
155x5
155x5

KB Swings 10x53x10

Then my daughter did a face plant and needed some tending to.
Another front squat PR was a great way to end the week. I think I had another in me but it would have been an ugly grinder so I called it good. Now we are off to Boston for the weekend.

Incline Press
100x5
115x5
130x8 (5+3) rep PR
115x5
115x5

Bench 95x20,18,15
Yates Row 3x95x10

and DB arms 2x12

The Boston weekend was fantastic. The drive down was through an ice storm. We thought about turning around when we started seeing the plow trucks and tractor trailers skid off the road. It took forever but we eventually got there in one piece. We saw U Maine play BU in ice hockey at Fenway, then we saw the Patriots beat the Colts at Gilette Stadium. I felt like if we saw something at TD Garden we would have had a nice trifecta. Great games, and really fun, despite some heavy rain.

I was able to get this training in today after getting home. After the weekend, I wasn't sure how it would go, but with a PR on Incline I guess it went pretty well. Went up to 95 on the rows, I'll work on increasing reps now.
