Default Grip training for strapping lads and lasses

It turns out that a lot of people here use straps (or Gripps) for some of their pulls, rows, etc. And some have mentioned that they do this but also do some grip work on the side.

So - what kind of grip work do *you* do, to supplement all those strapped up shenanigans?

I don't use straps much, but I do use them every once in a while. If I'm doing some Heavy Rep Work on Deads or Pulldowns.. I'll use them on a few sets. Sometimes I don't thou...

I also use these for Fatbar Work on many exercises... Curls, Pressdowns, Deads, rows even bench at times...

I don't really do any grip work as such; I do the 1-finger lifts (which is sort of grip work); I may hold the barbell on the last rep, for as long as possible, once again a form of grip work; KB swings work my grip without it being grip work; BU KB presses are mostly grip oriented, so definite grip work there.

I've found that as the weight load increases, the grip increases, regardless of whether straps were used at the lower PB load (initially), and the grip seems to progress along with the progression of load with straps being required less, if at all, on the loads where they were once needed.

lots of pull ups
and now my job is grip intensive

i usually squeeze the crap out of the barbell too
