Default Jim Phillips-Retun from Bicep tear surgery

I am about 14 weeks out from my 1st meet in almost 2 years. I tore my bicep in April and have been training to get things back to normal. I plan to do The SPF Pro-Am in TN for my first meet back. I will try my best to keep my log up to date and I post my vids on my you tube page. Search for jphillips859 to find my channel and I will post vids on here as soon as I am allowed.

Thur 12/5 Max Effort Bench:


Buffalo Bar Bench -475lbs x 1, extra ROM was a little rough on shoulders

Standing Shoulder press -Light- 4 sets, 135 x 15

EZ curl bar skull crushers- 3 sets, 100x12

Body Weight dips- 3 sets, 12 reps @ I weigh 303 that enough weight

Bicep Curls- empty bar, 4 sets x 25 with as little rest as possible. I started doing these to get blood into the tendons and attempt to keep them healthy and hopefully not tear one again

I will have a video on my youtube page (jphillips859) hopefully by this evening.

Took a couple days off this weekend. Normally don't miss many days but family life catches up with me some. Son had hockey game on Sat and training partner had a meet after that was done. Sunday is normally speed bench but my boss gave me tickets to the Cincinnati Bengals game so I took the family and we froze our asses off but the Bengals put on a great game. Back to the grind on Tue and will hopefully have some good lifts to video.
