Friday 12/27/13

Most of you don't know and I won't bother you with the details but life changed for me before today's workout so I haven't been able to do what I need to for training recently as you'll see in my random days I get to go to the gym. Soon I'll be back on track.

Squat - 305, 355, 415x3 - Felt a little unstable, high, leaning forward. I walked 5 miles before the gym so that's part of the reason it sucked

Bench - 205x3, 240x3, 285x2 - Missed the third rep bad.

Skipped barbell row and overhead press. My wagon was impounded today while I was driving so I was upset and tired and I don't know if I'm happy I went or not but I guess progress was kind of made.

Saturday 1/4/14

Happy New Year!

My Charger was repod on Dec 31st so I officially have no vehicle to drive at all. I got terribly sick from walking home and training Dec 27 when my wagon was impounded so I was glad to get out and train but it didn't help me feel "better"

Squat - 310x3, 365x3, 430x2 - missed third rep of squat for a myriad of reasons, I never attempted it because it felt like my back was giving out, the bar was slipping and lets face it I did 435 at my meet that's the most I ever did and 2 months later I'm doing it almost for a double. I was ok with this.

Deadlift - 335, 390, 455x3 - I am having some rage issues obviously so this went pretty easy. funny how I haven't repped weight this high in a while pulling from the floor and do it after doing a double of the heaviest weight I'm scared of doing.

Lat Pull Downs - 10x12 for 3 sets - I don't do these enough and I know it helps so I started these up. I think 10 indicates 100, I'm not sure.. it was relatively light so I got the pump and short rest.

Wednesday 1/8/14

Squat - 315x3, 365x3 - weight felt heavy I was hurting so I called it early

Bench - 205x3, 240x3 - same here, it was way too heavy and I actually popped some blood vessels in my tricep and had a huge bruise for days after this.

Saturday 1/11/14

Squat - 305, 355, 415x3 - Once again squat felt heavy and leaning forward. This seems to be a cyclical thing where I have a good month of squats then they go to shit.

DL - 365, 405, 470x3 - Had to use a thicker bar because all of the thinner bars with knurling were being used. Had an asshole in the same room as me today slamming weights and just a general shitty attitude which really helped me pull like hell today. I haven't pulled heavy heavy like this in a while. The bar had no knurling and I had to reset grip after the second rep, third rep was hard, wasn't really a grinder but it was a give-all-you-have and I tore a couple calluses slightly and my shins were bleeding but I had enough time to stand there and look at the guy and he left mid workout after that.

Military Press - 120, 140, 160x3 - tried closer grip (real close now lol) and it feels even better.

Lat Pull Downs - 10x12 3 sets - Feel the burn. I used a different attachment and went extremely wide.. about as wide as my arms would go.. did this for a change.

Tuesday 1/14/14

Bench - 200, 230, 270x3 - Feels off and boy that last reps was a grinder.. I almost thought I was going to dump it mid press but I kept pushing and got it. Wasn't comfortable.

Barbell Row - 185, 225, 275, 275x5 - Officially can row a hell of a lot more than I can bench. Sucks because I wish my bench was higher, but I'll take the rows.

Lat Pull Downs - 12x12 2 sets - Been fatigued and was tired as it was but managed to get 2 medium rest sets in. The last 2 on the first set and the last 4 on the last set I used more english than I prefer.
