Monday 20th January

Deadlifts
10 x 60kg
5 x 70kg
2 x 80kg
2 x 85kg
2 x 90kg
2 x 2 95kg (the most I've ever locked out before)

4 x 6 60kg

I had a fun time at the gym listening to two guys talk about me the entirety of my last two heavy sets. It was extremely awkward. After I finished, I politely asked them to, at the very least, not be quite so loud. They were quite nice about it though.

I really think I might FINALLY have 100kg.

I know some people put hot fitness models on their logs but that messes with my brain so I'll just be extremely vain and post me, instead.

Awesome work, Kels!

Hoping to get to the 100kg deadlift myself.

Tuesday 21st January

Bench
10 x 20kg
5 x 30kg
5 x 35kg
3 x 2 x 40kg
2 x 2 x 40kg paused reps
4 x 1 x 40kg paused reps
2 x 3 x 35kg paused reps

Close grip
4 x 8 30kg

Went home in a filthy mood. Apparently had "the best spotter in the gym". He still had at least a finger on the bar the whole time for my paused sets at 40kg. I got a third rep in the first set but I can't say whether he helped or not.

I see there is enough winning and PRs in this log for everyone. Keep it up!

I can fully understand the annoyance there, working out at home, I don't have to cross that bridge and the "gym", such as it is, doesn't have an area that is adjustable which means it's too high for me to use (the rack is a set height contraption), so I'll never run into the issue either.

Spotters should know what they're doing but might be time to be pro-active before they assist again by telling them exactly what to do and when not to touch the barbell...seems a proportion in the gym don't appear to know these things at all.
