12/20 Coan Deadlift wk 1

As part of adapting BIG to fit my needs after a couple run-throughs, I've subbed in the Ed Coan deadlift program for my back days. I feel like I have better success pulling from the floor each week than using the system of rack pulls.

Warmed up to
450x2
360x8sets x 3reps for speed with 90 seconds rest between each set. This was killer!

Circuit: three rotations. 90 seconds between sets, 2-3 minutes between each rotation. Usually there are good mornings in this, but I have already done those this week, so called an audible.
Straight leg deadlift: 270x8
BB rows: 225x8
Lat pulldowns: 187.5x8

I was covered in sweat by the end of this. This is gonna be good work for my endurance, I hope. I can't remember if I've mentioned this, but my goal over the holiday break is to not take off days. Exceptions may be when I work a double or the actual day of a holiday. And even then, no promises as I have access to the gym all the time

I'm surprised I made it through with my calves still sore from Wednesday! I'm hoping it'll do the trick. Set the template for 600 pounds and today's work felt easy.

12/21/2013 Bench and finding my limit

I wanted to get in every day over the Christmas break and put in good work, but I think that plan isn't gonna be a good one.

Warm up to 245x6, 265x2x6, add RAM 265x5, took a bathroom break, came back with my head better and hit 265x6 no RAM.

No 3 board press as I was alone

Close grip/skull crusher combo(5 cg, 5sc, 5cg, 5sc) 80 poundsx 1 set

I think I'm just worn out. Tomorrow is a "rest' day as I'm working a double. I'm looking forward to it, honestly.

Leg press 3PPS X 20, 4PPS X 20

Helped Orsson hit 325 for three doubles, which was pretty awesome. Tomorrow I'm hitting the pin presses and OHP. Back into the big lifting and following a plan on Thursday"
