I am hoping for a 1200 total at my first meet, but I am just a tad bit heavier than the average lifter. Only by, like, 150lbs or so.

Huh. As it turns out, that's the total I have my eye on, to achieve before even considering competing. And even then...

But yeah, gunning for 1200. I have a feeling my deadlift will take up fully half of that though, lol.

I started lifting in 1986 and took my first deload in 2008. Back in the day I just listened to my body and took an extra day or two off when I needed it.

Someone said that running is the most catabolic form of cardio.

I built my first 2 years worth of muscle while playing basketball post-workout for at least an hour each day. I usually ran on off days as well.

Somehow I managed to gain and get stronger.
