Default Setting Goals

I'm wanting to set a goal to strive for and to reach by my 29th birthday in July next year 10 months away.

These are my strongest lifts from my most recent workouts.

Bench 105k x 6
Squat 130k x 5
Deadlift 150k x 6

I'm new to strength training but i need to set my self a goal to hit, im 5ft9/10
and 86k trying to reach 90k, im in a calories surplus and following wendler 5/3/1 training 4 days a week and 1 extra day to do what i feel like.

What would be a decent goal to drive for on the big 3 for 10 months time? I have been thinking about this alot but i simply don't have the experience to set one myself, i'm sure you guys do!

Bench - 231 x 6
Squat - 286 x 5
Deadlift - 330 x 6

First thing you need to know is that you already have a solid strength base. I would consider you an early intermediate-style lifter, but "what you are" doesn't matter much. So let's move on and look at where you are heading.

If I were you I would strong for the following improvement in 10 months:

Bench - At least +50 pounds, or 5 pounds a month
Squat - At least +75, or 7.5 pounds per month
Deadlift - At least +75, or 7.5 pounds per month

Right now your 3-lift total is close to 1,000. If you could get that up to 1200 within a year that would be solid. That's a good goal. You could get more, and I know you will certainly try, but I think these are good minimums to shoot for.

Thanks Steve, 5lbs on Bench and 7.5lbs on squat and dead a month is around what i'm doing right now on my wendler so that's great.

I will use the 1200 total as a figure to hit for 10 months time, that will be me using the 5/3/1 for 10 months which could be a good time to switch to a different plan, or maybe even try to find a powerlifting club.
