The iron is there during my times of happiness, sadness and anger. The iron is there available through the 4 seasons and inclement weather. The iron is there to either comfort me or motivate me. The Iron manages to show me how strong I am or how humble I need to be. The iron does not yell, but it always demands respect. The iron is not a disciplinarian, but when disrespected, I feel it for a long time. The iron does not love or hate, but we definitely share a strong bond. And no matter how far I stay away or for how long, the iron is there, waiting to be lifted.

Stockdoc, I only pull the first rep from that low! Just below my knees is my sticking point, so I figure getting a rep or three from that height couldn't hurt. I will probably raise that height soon though as that will limit me much more than the actual shrugs! I power shrug with just a little dip of the knees, a couple inches, just to break inertia on the bar. I have done 425 for reps before, but there wasn't a heck of a lot of "Shrug" in those! haha. I do want to be aggressive with these, but keep the movement reasonable and not all leg.

I hope so DZ! And more sledding today!

Week 3, day 2

Warmups: Rowing, 1 circuit, Hang Snatch: 3x 3x 75 (up 5 next week)

OHP: 5x 3x 130 (59Kg) (Up 5 next week)

Rear Flys: 5x 15x 12.5 (up to 15 next week)
ss w/ pushups: 25, 21, 18, 16, 15 (95 total, up 12 from last week)

Kneeling Underhand Lat pulls: 3x 10x 195 (up 5 next week)
ss w/ Savickas Press: 3x 10x 55 (up 5 next week)

Finished with more sledding!

Let me tell you, Hang Snatch are just awesome if you are interested in hammering your traps!
Press was good. It'll start getting hard next week or the week after.
Pleased with the pushup progression. Finally not dreading those sets so much. Haha.
Went to underhand on the Lat pulls to keep pace with the seated wide grip I do on bench day. Heaven forbid I switch plates on my pull machine.

There you go. Back in the swing of things now. Weights should get to some decent numbers soon.

Oh, and I got the job. Start teaching Monday. That'll cut into my free time drastically, but I'll manage. Especially as the increased money coming in should cut down on the arguing time with the wife! I can use that time for lifting now.
Great work Mike! Big congrats on the job! Great news! Keep working hard and hope all the children are angles !
