Haha. Today, not so smooooooooth. Thanks fellas.

Squats were easy, but my hip flexor would not loosen up. I could feel it and it was messing with me making me tentative, so I just hit the lone single and moved on. Just one of those things, no big deal.

Week 5, day 3

Warmups: raking a million or so leaves!

Squat:
1x 320 (145Kg)

Bench:
5x 4x 185 (84Kg) all paused, easy money
ss w/ Underhand pulldowns 215x 12, 13, 12, 10, 10

Deadlift:
3x 3x 245 (111Kg) no trouble

320:

It was cold in the garage today and maybe I should have warmed up better. I usually do some hip and leg stuff to loosen up and didn't as I was rushing a little. I thought it would get better as I went along, but not to be. Another lesson learned to always warmup properly.

Still, there you go. Felt really strong even if it didn't look like it.

Onward and upward.

That *is* a strong workout, Mike. Squats, bench and deads every session - yeah, there's bound to be the odd day that maybe isn't 110%! Even so, it all adds up.

No leaves to rake here as they are all covered in snow. However, snow shoveling also makes for great upper body training. That 320 looked pretty dang good Mike! Well done.

PS - how come all you guys who train in garages have no heaters? My brothers garage is heated and that is just for his Mustang lol.

That was a sexy squat Mike! I have a million and one leaves to rake still .

I wanted you to know, I copied your bench press style of all paused, and I am finding a good groove and I think they are getting easier after a month! Thanks for the inspiration.

Nice job on the 320 Mike.
How is the weight these days? Still making steady progress that side too?

Thanks fellas!

Markie......um, NO. Life is butt crazy right now and eating is for shit. Haven't gained much, but haven't lost any either. Still around 208-210.

Cheers, fen! I'm going to keep doing all paused for anything under 6 reps from here on out to the forseeable future. I got the idea from Miked, so be sure to thank him too! . And truth be told, now I'm doing it, it does seem an obvious thing to do. Should have switched long ago.

Heated garages!?! For cats and cars? Haha. No chance as I'm a cheapskate. Could have used it today though. 27 degrees out there just now. That's like minus 2 in Canadian I think, Jim!

Anyway, I am just getting hammered lately with life. We're selling our house in Maryland and have been making trips back and forth to get it ready to show. Lots of car travel, yard work and fixing crap, and sadly fast food as well lately. Not so good. But we're done with it now (hopefully), so I'm getting back in the swing of things today.

Week 6, day 1

Warmups: Swings x3, Rowing to get sweaty.

Squat:
3x 3x 240 (109Kg)

Deadlift:
2x 1x 345 (157Kg)

Stretching and back yoga.

First 345:

Last 345:

Deadlift singles not as easy as I'd have liked them to be. Just felt a bit off. Hands were opening up some too which is unusual. Hopefully, just an off day. We'll see.

Squats were no trouble, I skipped bench today though as I will do it tomorrow. Since I missed Monday and Tuesday traveling, I'll Dead and Squat today, Max Bench tomorrow, then Max Squat and Deadlift Friday to get back on track. If I get a chance Saturday to Bench some volume, I will. If not, no biggie. I'm butt confident with my bench.

God willing, next week should have no disruptions. We'll see. I will really try to get online tonite and tomorrow to catch up with you folks. I need some inspiration and I miss not being around as much.

There you go. Onward and upward.
