Default Good mornings - Like or dislike?

Good mornings...

--Have you used them?
--Do you feel they were beneficial?

What are your thoughts on this exercise, and why do you continue to use good morning, or avoid using good mornings?

I love them - always get a great stretch in the hammies. I do them "powerlifter" style - that is knees slightly bent, and break at the hips, pushing them back as I bend over, keeping lower back as arched as possible. I also take a wide stance, wider than my squat stance. I find them beneficial, as do most pro's as I usually see them recommended as an accessory lift for the posterior chain.

Never did much for me. Not a bad lift per se. A decent assistance movement, but by no means essential. Id Just rather spend my time doing more squats and deads.

I don't think they are necessary but can be very beneficial to the right person. It is not an exercise that is going to make you, by its self, very good at all the lifts but it could probably add some weight to your squat, bench and deadlift.

The iron is there during my times of happiness, sadness and anger. The iron is there available through the 4 seasons and inclement weather. The iron is there to either comfort me or motivate me. The Iron manages to show me how strong I am or how humble I need to be. The iron does not yell, but it always demands respect. The iron is not a disciplinarian, but when disrespected, I feel it for a long time. The iron does not love or hate, but we definitely share a strong bond. And no matter how far I stay away or for how long, the iron is there, waiting to be lifted.

I like and use them. As has been said, the key is proper form. It is bad form that usually gets folks with GMs.

I prefer Romanians and Stiffies. They just seem a lot easier to load up and go heavy.

I never have had DOMS in my hammies the way i did after GM's.

I like what Paul Carter and others have aid about 'em. Better done with LIIIIGHT weight, higher reps and full ROM
