I have lifted for over 1 year, competed in, and won 2 powerlifting meets, and at 50 yrs old, I am in the best shape of my life, after having a stroke a couple years ago......if it weren't for Steve, I would have packed it in after 3 months, when I was discouraged, lost, unmotivated, and ready to give up. (and it all started with 1 e-mail)

I 100% owe my love of the Iron to you Steve!

The iron is there during my times of happiness, sadness and anger. The iron is there available through the 4 seasons and inclement weather. The iron is there to either comfort me or motivate me. The Iron manages to show me how strong I am or how humble I need to be. The iron does not yell, but it always demands respect. The iron is not a disciplinarian, but when disrespected, I feel it for a long time. The iron does not love or hate, but we definitely share a strong bond. And no matter how far I stay away or for how long, the iron is there, waiting to be lifted.

If it weren't for you I wouldn't be competing and I would be a lot weaker; physically and mentally. Thanks for your help.

I echo everyone's sentiments STeve. You have always been on hand with motivation and excellent advice whenever I, or indeed anyone else has needed it. You have the patience of a saint towards a lot of people that have argued (or tried to) and laughed at or ignored some of your excellent advice and words.

You and this site helped turn my life around once, and I have come back here for this exact same reason. You inspre hundreds of people Steve and I dont think you know just how much you have done for so many.

Cheers
