Thanks Steve. I could do with some advice, in June I'm doing 2 mud runs for charity. On the 14th I have a 10km and on the 21st I have a 12.5km both with obstacles, water and all the other horrific stuff so I'm really not sure how to go about lifting in June as I probably shouldn't be lifting the week before, during or after these events? And if I'm going to take all that time off I may as well cancel my gym membership for that month as it seems pointless to start a cycle that will have a 2 week gap in the middle of it. Maybe I should just do some lighter high rep sessions for a few weeks? Really lost on this.
