Way to take the time out to make sure he is doing it right!

Also, if 385 was easy for you, then 405 should be in the bag, looks like you have a little bit more than you thought left in the tank

Pulling looks great. I like how you put Jr on the trap bar. '

It's great news Jr has someone to match up with that is talented on the field, they will bring out the best in each other.

Strong Deads for JR. Good news 385 was a breeze. Looks like your pulls are about to make a quick trip North.

OR's Workout. . .

Bench Press - warm ups
95 lbs x 5
135 lbs x 4
165 lbs x 3
185 lbs x 2
205 lbs x 1
230 lbs x 1

Bench Press - work sets
190 lbs x 5
190 lbs x 5
190 lbs x 5
190 lbs x 5

Notes:
Another easy session. I'm keeping the singles light and letting the rep work do its magic.

----------------------

OR Jr's Workout. . .

Ladder Drills
High Knees
Power Skips
Butt Kickers
Wall Sprints
Zigzag Duck Walk
Speed Skater Lunges
Pass Block Side Shuffles
First 2 Steps out of Stance
Positional Sprints out of 3 Point Stance
15 Yard Shuttle Runs
Double Hill Jumps
Prowler Push, Release, and Sprint 10 yards
Grappler Pushes with 45 lb plate

Notes:
Really working on pushing off with the power leg and opening the hips. Also working on staying light on the balls of his feet and keeping his knees high. Took about a half hour to run 2 to 4 of each exercise.

This week was kind of an introductory session to the different drills. Next week I'll probably pick 5 or 6 of them and work them more intensely.

OR: what mode are you in? resetting and running up for new PRs or just maintenance due to your schedule?

That's the speed stuff I expected to see for JR!

I'm in maintenance with a slow build-up. I'm spending three weeks at a particular weight, getting all my reps on my work sets, and then increasing my max. Ver slow but steady. But my schedule does suck, I only have about an hour of free time each afternoon to get kids' homework done and squeeze in a workout with one lift. We make due with what we are given, progress can still be made.

Fancy that magic trick with the rep work OR! I suppose you also have a magic pill? Haha I admire your discipline to ease into this, that is something I never did but should have many times.

Junior's sesh looks exhausting. Very unique, as I am sure nobody is doing something even close to that. easy to tell you did your homework like a good teacher/coach/daddy would!

I would also like to request a vid of Junior's Zigzag Duck walk haha
