I agree with Swedish, start your meet cycle for next year now. Do a long rep phase, then take the reps down after Christmas, then peak.

Oh man, I had no idea. I agree with Big Swede and Ltl. Rest up and then get back to it. Home recovery and cheesecake for the win. Feel better.

What poundages do you use on leg extensions? Rest up, man.

Not much. My extension attachment doesn't have the most natural feel.

October 12th, 2013

My right glute felt fine until the 415 squat. I felt a slight twinge but thought I would be good. Wrong. 465 I got in the hole and thought something was going to tear. Right as I was about to dump it felt a hair better so I completed the rep.

One thing for certain...there is no way I am going to squat or deadlift next month. This lower glute issue prevented me from doing heavy low rack pulls and shrugs over 315.

This might be a 3 month recovery/rebuilding period. I am ready for it.

I decided to work my glute and hams a bit, so it ended up being a decent workout.

Used Purus Labs D-Pol for the first time. All I know is that I felt like I could keep training today. We'll see if I feel the same the next time.

Squats
145 x 3
235 x 3
325 x 3
375 x 1
415 x 1 - Small glute twinge
465 x 1 - Time to shut it down. Glute not happy at all

Low Rack Pull & Power Shrugs
225 x 5
315 x 5 - Glute was having none of this. Time to shut down.

Light work follows. Just trying to get some blood in.

Leg Curls
35 x 10
35 x 10
35 x 10

Goblet Squats
65 x 10
65 x 10

Dimel Deadlifts
185 x 10
185 x 10

Barbell Step Ups
145 x 10
145 x 10

Leg Extrensions
70 x 10
70 x 10
70 x 10

Planks
22 seconds
28 seconds

Good choice to shut it down on squats. Haven't seen you do that much work in a single session for a long time. This can only be a good thing.
