Slingshot-first time in a long while-need to use it more as it felt great to overload. It helps with overloading and 405 doesn't seem like an impossible weight raw. In the next year that will go up with a pause.

After some squat work on Thursday I was really beat up so I took Friday off to bench big today. Hit 500lbs with the shirt today which is a 25 PR and hopefully just the start of big things to come.

I have made the decision after the Nov 16th push/pull meet to go all in on geared bench. I am trying to balance gym time and family time and this will keep me completing while spending plenty of time at home. I will still work on all 3 lifts but the DL and squat will my aux to the bench along with other stuff. Today I worked on legs and lats

I only have 2 bench sessions before my meet on Nov 16th as I will in Detroit for Relentless this weekend. The others were working up to their openers So I was there to help out and get a good heavy workout in.

The lifting has been a bit off lately. My training was a bit goofed up with my trip to Relentless and then getting prepped for a meet 12 days after that. I did bench only as I am having elbow pain in my left arm when pulling anything over 405 lbs. I hit my 485 opener but could not quite lock out 523 on the second attempt. It was frustrating as I hit 530 the week before realtively easy. The 3rd attempt I was so pumped up I went way too fast and dumped it. The last few weeks have been spent trying to get back into a routine and last week was deer hunting so again training was off. On Saturday my plan was to put the shirt on and get well over 500 but after 275 raw my right arm felt weak and numb like there was no strength in it so I stopped right there. The plan is to try to bench tonight and see how it goes. I am going to be doing the bench only for Relentless MN in March so I have work to do. My goal is to hit 600 at least!
