Well after a month off from the bench shirt I suited back up and had a great workout. The video shows my 550lb bench which is a 20 PR and I have the workout listed under it. It felt very good and I may have had another 10-20lbs in me that night but we will save it for this coming week. I will also be lifting in the bench only at Relentless 2014 here in MN. I would encourage everyone to attend if possible as it will change your life. I will be including my findraising page on here from time to time and if you can donate to the cause it would be awesome. Thanks!

Although I am concentrating on bench right now the squat will help with my overall strength so I am back at it. This is my second week with the wider stance and so far so good. This is my 505lb PR which I have done once before but did not get on video

Saturday night bench session went very well until the last rep as you can see below. I can't complain though as the reps before this went great and 530 went very well. The road to 600 will be paved with ups and downs but I will continue to work at it. You can never under estimate the value of great spotters who saved my behind or head for that matter. I have a lot of work to do in the shirt but I am loving the challenge.

Sat was bench training @ Southside Bully. I wasn't sure how it would go as it was 3 days of being away and my body felt tight and sore.
Did my usuual raw warm ups to 320x1 and then a singel with the slinghot at 370.
With shirt
400x2- shirt was not on right so I couldn't come close to touching
460x3
500x2
520x1 -took a gouge out of my hand while racking it. Taped it up and kept going
550x1
570x1-20 PR. Felt good and much better after throwing 560 in the rack the week before

Bench aux on Wed and I may take the week off fromt he shirt as we have a family get together on Sat. Happy New Years to everyone.

before the deep freeze set in we squatted Friday night and I am still feeling the effects.
I was working with 2 guys who are 3-4" shorter and I was using the same box for touch and go squats so I know they were all at depth.
145x8
195x8
235x8
285x8
325x6
375x3
425x2x2
325x3+60lb chains
325x3+120lb chains

Also worked in 6 sets of bent over rows to work the back. Tuesday will be board work with close grip to work on lockout. This week I will be hitting DL for the first time in 2 months to test out the elbow. I am also going to start Sumo as my elbow was hitting my leg on Conv which I think was part of my problem. I have hit 500 sumo before and I am hitting the other lifts just to aid my bench for now. It will be nice to get back to a routine after the last couple of weeks.

Don't forget to check out my donation page for Relentless MN and anything you cangive would be greatly appreciated!!

Yesterday we did lock out work from boards and it was a lot of volume. We did sets of 5 off the 4 board and 5 board. Some may think you don't get much work from the 5 board but with my long arms I still have at least 3-4 inches of travel maybe more. The entire workout is close grip.
We started at 230x5 on the 4 board
280x5
300x5
320x5
360x5
5 board
380x5
400x5
415x5
Finished with 2 failure pause press sets @ 250 which damn near killed me.
Today I deadlifted for the first time in about 2 months due to having elbow pain every time going over 4 plates. Pulling conv I was hitting my left knee which I believe was tweaking the elbow. Well I thought about trying sumo for a bit and this is how it went.
135x8
225x8
315x8
405x3
465x1
495x1
545- Fail, too big of a jump as this is only the second time pulling sumo with any real weight. try it again in a few weeks
Did some ab work and shoulder shrugs to end the day.
