Smolov 10x3 107.5 kg (I highly doubt this number because the bar is way lighter than any I've ever used but I have progressed in weight a lot since I did this rep scheme 1 week ago. Remember to add 5 kg next week. Light pull ups

Bench 6x6 85kg up from 80
BR 4x8 80kg
Tough session. Need to up protein intake.

Squat 100kg 5x5 was hard for some reason but will progress from here. Form was very good so I shall push hard again. Must stop chasing girls at 1 in the morning.
Bench 7x5 92.5kg Smolov week 2
Deadlift 3x5 122 kg motoring along nicely
BR 3x10 60kg
OHP 60kg 5x5 PR at long last. Probably should not have done it. Could have done more weight. Can't wait to return to BTB's program after holiday.

Yeah, the chasing girls part definitely affects your gains, but it's worth it in all fairness

Great lifting though I'd avoid hitting failure too often, it really messes recovery up as I found to my own cost! I'm sure you keep a rep or two in the tank most days and that's the best way to train IMO. You're moving along very well indeed

Thanks. I hadn't hit failure for 3 months until Tuesday lol. I've had a few stalls but I'm upping the food intake so things should continue to keep going fairly well. I'm not sure when linear progression is supposed to end on the squats so but I reckon it probably will around the 130kg mark. Am training at home now so everything can be done more efficiently now.

Saturday session:
Squat 5x5 102.5 kg 3x3 105kg just for fun.
Smolov Bench 8x4 97.5

Short session but got the job done. Didn't have time to do other stuff but tomorrow I'll finish the smolov week and hit back and arms but no squatting till I return from London on Tuesday.

Don't ever think like this; I have and it ends up becoming a self-fulfilling prophesy. If you believe 130kg is the end mark, it probably won't be far off as your mind will basically win the day over what your body can achieve. If you keep being patient and consistent, you could go well beyond that mark. Certainly, don't believe any figure is set in stone because it isn't. Obviously, there will come a time when you'll stall and need to make changes but it doesn't necessarily have to be at 130kg
(coming from a man who has a best 5 rep set of 127.5kg )
