Sounds like it's just taking a while to recover from the big meet.
Get stronger or lose weight, that's always the dilemma isn't it?

Sounds like your drive is clouding your perspective, nice to see I'm not the only one.lol
You have made some great progress in the brief time I'm been on this Board Brute. You'll recover, your perspective/path will become clearer and more PR's will fall. One brick at a time.

Your not alone Brute - I am the weakest overall on my Crew. But, ya know what, I don't care much because I am me and I am progressing. What really inspired me was not that I finsihed last in my class at my meet, but it was a distant last. I'll never forget it, and it has now always been a journey to just close that gap as much as I can.

You will get there eventually big guy.

Only thing that strikes me is that repetitive misses at a big weight probably isn't doing you much good. Maybe that's what it takes to get to a certain level, but if it was me, I really don't lift it unless I think I can get it and if I miss, I just move on to another day. Just my .02. New crew sounds very inspiring, but be careful is all I'm saying.

I believe you can balance your goals. You'll still get stronger and leaner by eating cleaner a lot more often than not.

A little sulk is good for the soul, but don't wallow in it! Just move on to the next thing.

Rock on Brute! Still admiring that 450 squat btw.
Sulking done, smashing started. Thanks for the encouragement

Thanks OR. Feeling a lot better right now, and I'm going to drop some weight. I think my top end strength will continue to improve and there's a decent chance I'll put on more muscle in the process. At 330 pounds, I have a lot of fat I can drop before my body decides it is in trouble.

Thanks OMP. I want to get into the WSM qualified in 4 years. But right now I don't need to be 330 for this leg of the journey.

Thanks Jim. Sometimes its hard to see the progress I've made because of how far I still have to go. But the down times are growing shorter and fewer. Strength is being built.

Good day today. Squat mania, sort of
