Default Squat Problems

When I am squating and come out of the hole i have one problem. Sometimes my knee will turn in and makes me have bad form. What is causing this and how can i fix it?

Writing on my phone, so sorry for bad grammar. This is a problem that almost every has when they are learning the squat. Don't worry, it's normal, but u still want to get rid of it. Go with lighter weights, and push your knees out HARD through the whole squat. Keep practicing, and keep ur knees wide. The reason knees cave in is because of inadequate strength in the hips, or lack of experience in activating the outer hip muscles. By keeping ur knees out with lighter weights, you'll strengthen the hips and get used to activating those muscles. It'll come with time.

What I mean by that is exactly what Soldier said, keep squatting and concentrate on form (pushing knees out, showing your junk, spreading the floor). It will come along and the muscles you need to strengthen will get stronger. No special exercises needed.

Hey JJ, don't let ego get in the way of this. Drop the weight until you get the form down pat. You'll work your way back up, and be stronger for it. I've had to do it...a lot of us have, it's no big deal.

Your right, I really do. My ego gets in he way because when I go to the gym I seem to see everyone from my high school there and there is only one squat rack. I don't want to be that guy squating 135 while everyone is waiting.

I am going to take your advice because its going to be better in the long run. Thank you

Then power clean 135 off the floor and flip it over your head, then squat. Show those MF'ers whose in charge.

J/K. Sort of. I mean you go to the gym to get your work done. Who cares what somebody else is doing or saying or waiting for?

You do the right things and keep doing them, you'll be lapping anyone else you know soon enough.

Just worry about you. The rest will fall into place.
