Thanks, guys! I am fortunate to bench with people who compete at the Arnold and one of the strongest women in the country. This is what they hammer home on me:
- set up: shoulders pinned back into the bar and the balls of your feet in position close enough to your butt that you feel your legs tremble when you drive your heels down.
- contol bar slow on way down and keep back tight
- touch chest and activate chest and really drive heels down hard and explode bar up

The heel drive really helps generate speed out of the bottom. I'm no expert but hopefully some of that info helps.

I think they recorded bench so I can link vids tomorrow.

Deadlifts
5x135
5x185
5x225
5x265
5x295
3x5x325 Previous PR was an ugly 5x325, these were smooth!

Definitely decided that a 5x5 was way too much volume for me personally on deadlifts after last week. Took way too much out of me, sticking with 3x5.

Power Shrugs: 10x135, 10x225, 10x315
Pulls Ups: 5x5
Weighted Hypers: 3x10
Adductor things: 3x10x60

Very solid session. Wise decision, re: deadlifts (IMO). I'm even considering ramping sets again, personally. Just for those.
