Friday

Strange things have happened to me this week which I will post elsewhere.

Just some pressing today. Overhead press improved but still blows, bench press OK.

Bench Press

I would have been struggling with more than 152.5-155 I think.

100 (221) X 5
120 (265) X 3
130 (286) X 3
135 (297) X 3
140 (308) X 3
145 (320) X 2
150 (331) X 1
120 (265) X 8
120 (265) X 6

Overhead press

60 (132) X 3
70 (154) X 2
80 (176) X 3
82.5 (181) X 3
85 (187) X 2
87.5 (192) X 1
80 (176) X 3
70 (154) X 6
60 (132) X 8

Sunday

Got in a bit more of a groove with deadlifts this week, and back was fine after hurting a bit last week. But 220 still felt mysteriously heavy.

80 (176) X 5
130 (285) X 3
180 (398) X 2
200 (442) X 2
220 (485) X 3
220 (485) X 3
220 (485) X 3
220 (485) X 3
220 (485) X 3
220 (485) X 3

Pulldowns

I was fairly spent after the deadlifts and didn't do any back last session, so went for something easy.

70 (154) X 8
85 (187) X 6
90 (200) X 5
95 (210) X 5

Fat Gripz pull ups

I hadn't tried these for a long time. They don't get any easier, but I enjoyed them. My forearms were pumped up like balloons by the end.

Bodyweight X 4, 4, 4, 4, 4

The iron is there during my times of happiness, sadness and anger. The iron is there available through the 4 seasons and inclement weather. The iron is there to either comfort me or motivate me. The Iron manages to show me how strong I am or how humble I need to be. The iron does not yell, but it always demands respect. The iron is not a disciplinarian, but when disrespected, I feel it for a long time. The iron does not love or hate, but we definitely share a strong bond. And no matter how far I stay away or for how long, the iron is there, waiting to be lifted.

You did a good job at making it pay for feeling heavy.
