Week 8 Squat/DL

Felt loose after physio so just some light foam rolling and band stretches for hips to get ready

Squats
70kgs x 5
110kgs x 5
Add belt
150kgs x 3
Add loose old wraps
Switch to "poor man's monolift" instead of walking out
180kgs x 2
Briefs on
210kgs x 3
Suit bottom and newer wraps on
240kgs x 2
Straps up
260kgs x 1
270kgs x 1

Block pulls from just below knee in larger Super Centurion suit bottom, no briefs
110kgs x 5
150kgs x 5
190kgs x 2
210kgs x 2
230kgs x 2 Really fast and solid form

I was sick yesterday and felt awful first thing. I messaged JB to say I would train but lower intensity. By lunch I felt better, mid-afternoon I was feeling like I could squat moderately heavy and not pull and by the time I made the gym at 8pm I was ready to FSU!

Everything felt very smooth and light. Could have gone a bit deeper on 270 but the cold is in my chest and I was having a hard time holding enough air to get properly tight in the core. Still very pleased with the speed though.

Pulls went very well too and although I was programmed to leave a fair bit in the tank, I am in PB territory right now on these too with better form than ever before too.
