I think we all want arms like Ramrod! Rows are strong and it is cool you can still do pull ups!

Thanks guys. Big week coming up and really excited to squat on Wednesday. Getting back in full gear for the first time in around two months. Friday will be pressing against chains both raw and shirted off boards and then Sunday will be light pulls but in full gear with straps up for the first time in 6 months.

Thanks guys.

Week 6 - Full gear squat

Foam roll upper body, glutes and hams
Band stretches for lower body

Straight bar squats
60kgs x 5
100kgs x 5
Add belt
140kgs x 3
Add loose wraps
170kgs x 2
Add brief
210kgs x 2
225kgs x 2
Add suit bottom
240kgs x 2
Straps up
255kgs (561lbs) x 1

Gear off

Pause squats
80kgs x 5
90kgs x 5, 5

Strong session but first time back in full gear in 2 months and it shows. Form was good and weights moved very fast. Depth was also good which I was pleased with. Setting-up for the top single was the hardest part. I struggled to get under the bar, then the gear was so tight I felt sick and slightly light headed before I even started going down. Once I was moving I felt ok but once I had racked it, I could not get unwrapped fast enough! This will get easier over the next few weeks as I get used to the pressure again though.

Is the pressure like lifting at the bottom of the ocean? Sheesh - I never realized lifting in gear could be quite like you described. Just glad you didn't pass out on the lift. Depth was better on the money set, which is consistent with your other squat sessions. Good work Al!
