I saw this when I coached both Soccer and baseball. Had one dad making his 10 year old son throw 100 curve balls a day, outside of regular practice. IMHO. no 10 year old needs to be torquing their arm like that. By the time he was 13, he was burned out on baseball. He was bad, the worst are the parents who didn't play anything and try to make up for it through their kids.

If I was to be one of those parents, I'd have both of my kids signed up for Jr and High School Rodeo. But those were my dreams, not my kids'. They get to pick their own paths.

The kids that I respect are all those little slow kids. They have no future in football and get very little playing time, but they are out there every day giving it hell. Much respect.
