Couldn't ask for better progress on the stats JD! Pretty cool you were able to add as much to bench as squats and deads. Is that 225 on bench a PR milestone?

Thanks, Jim!

I believe 225x3 is a PR match..now that you mention it, I could have gotten another rep or two for a PR...ah, well...

My best heavy bench was only 250x1. I think I will pass it in the next 3-6 weeks, but bench progress will likely slow after that...lots more room with my dead lift since my PR was 405x1 and I'm only at 285 now.

Indeed, it seems like with bench, once we reach a certain resistance, we have to start using boards, slingshots, bands, chains, etc to get progression. Same could be said with all core lifts of course, but it seems it is more prevalent with bench. Go get that PR next week will ya!

Have a theory on that, the simplified version is the masses(myself included) tend to use too high of percentages to frequently. People who use exercise good judgement in weight selection make steadier gains and avoid plateaus better.
