Funny you should mention it, I slightly exacerbated my left leg in the glute and ham area while skiing. Really put a damper on my workouts since I was already nursing my strained deltoid. Well, those two issues are pretty much straightened out, so I suppose I will start posting my workouts on here again.

Default Reverse Pyramid Training; Week 29-30-ish

I haven't really been able to push myself with my workouts for a few months due to injuries, but I am feeling much better now and am back at it.

Due to an injured deltoid, I could not really push hard with OHP or bench press for 2-3 months, or back squat at all for about 2 months. Due to an injured something or other with my glute and ham area I was unable to deadlift heavily for about a month.

As you will see, I hurt myself again two days ago, what a mess I am, lmao

I started pushing things again a couple of weeks ago, and I will now log my past 3 workouts.



Sunday, 2/17/13
Fasted Training: 10g BCAAs


Back Squat 4 x 6-8 RPT

265 x 8
240 x 9
215 x 13
190 x 15


Single Leg Calf Raise 3 Sets, Rep Goal = 35

BW+65 x 17, 11, 10 ... Surpassed my goal, I will add weight next time.


RDL

185 x 10 x 3


Glute Bridge

235 x 10, 10, 15 ... +10 lbs


No discomfort at all with my shoulder, even though I really wedged myself into the low bar position.

My left ankle is still a weak spot with the calf raises, but is improving.

Deadlifts on Wednesday, not sure how heavy I will be going with them yet.

Dead Stop 1 Arm BB Row 3 x 6-8

135 (160 w/bar) x 8, 8, 12 ... +5 lbs PR


Damn it, my lower back wasn't set into position with the last set of bb rows, and I tweaked it on the second rep I shut things down, flexed, stretched, maneuvered a bit, then finished off the last 10 reps. Of course it was probably a bad idea to continue, but I had already done the left arm, and didn't want to look lopsided



Friday, 2/22/13

Bench Press 4 x 6-8 RPT

200 x 7 ... +5 lbs
185 x 9 ... +5 lbs
175 x 10 ... +5 lbs
165 x 11 ... +5 lbs


Incline Bench Press 4 Sets, Rep Goal = 30

145 x 11, 9, 8, 8 ... +10 lbs ... Surpassed my 30 rep goal, I will add weight next time.


Weighted Chest Dip 4 x 6-8 RPT

BW+45 x 8 ... +5 lbs
BW+35 x 9 ... +5 lbs
BW+15 x 10 ... +5 lbs
BW+05 x 9 ... Extra set added since a forth set requires added weight now.


Weighted V Chin Up 4 Sets, Rep Goal = 30; Doing them weighted now since I surpassed 30 w/BW

BW+5 x 10, 8, 7, 6 ... +5 lbs ... Surpassed my 30 rep goal, I will add weight next time.


My overall thoughts on today's workout? Excellent! :thumbs_up:

Back Squat 4 x 6-8 RPT

275 x 7 ... +10 lbs
250 x 8 ... +10 lbs
230 x 11 ... +15 lbs
205 x 12 ... +15 lbs


I didn't push too too hard because of my f'ing leg issue. I had rep 8 in me for the first set, but really didn't want to push my luck, seeing how I probably should have put this workout off for a few days.

I didn't bother doing RDLs or glute bridges.

And done. Surely I can't be making any gains using so few exercises per workout

I swapped out 1 arm bb rows for Pendlays, and will be doing these for a while.

Leg was/is still a bit sore, but those who know me know that I have got to push the envelope I was gonna go for another rep @ 375 but decided not to push my luck.
