115 x 9 ... +2



Back Squat 4 x 6-8 RPT

295 x 6 ... +10 lbs
280 x 6 ... +5 lbs
270 x 8 ... +5 lbs
255 x 9 ... +10 lbs



Weighted WGPU 4 Sets, Rep Goal = 30

BW+5 x 10, 8, 7, 5 = 30 (+2)



Standing BTNP 4 Sets, Rep Goal = 30

120 x 8, 7, 6, 6 = 27 ... +5 lbs




A fine way to leave off before a 9 day camping/fishing break!

I switched the order of squat and mil press today. Since many, like myself, believe that stretching shuts down a muscle, I figure that I would go right to the mil press before stretching out my front delt during the low bar squatting. It doesn't appear as though switching the order did any harm, so I will do this workout in this order from now on.

Bench Press 4 x 3-5 RPT <--- New rep scheme, changed from 6-8

210 x 7 ... +5 lbs
210 x 6 ... +10 lbs
200 x 7 ... +10 lbs
190 x 8 ... +5 lbs



Incline Bench Press 4 Sets, Rep Goal = 24 <--- New rep goal, changed from 30

165 x 10, 8, 7, 6 ... Total reps = 31 ... +5 lbs ... Should have added 10lbs I guess.



Weighted Chest Dip 4 x 4-6 RPT <--- New rep scheme, changed from 6-8

BW+65 x 7 ... +2.5 lbs
BW+60 x 7 ... 5 lbs
BW+50 x 8 ... +15 lbs
BW+40 x 8 ... +12.5 lbs





Yezzz, another great success!!


I decided to not take any time off from training since I have been making great progress lately. I pushed this Friday's session up to today, and tomorrow I will do back work, but without deadlifts. If I am not too tired when I get home from camping on Sunday, I will squat.

I guess I could have gone higher with the many weight adjustments I made to allow for the lower rep schemes.

With flat bench I pretty much matched Friday's reps that were at the lower weights!

With incline I surpassed Friday's reps that were done at 5 lbs less.

With dips I progressed nicely, even without the longer rest period between them and incline bench. I usually separate them with the v-chins.
