Default Fruits

I know I need to eat more fruits but I am just very picky about them. I rarely buy them for me which is a huge no no I am sure. I do like strawberries, watermelon, and grapes, and occassionally bananas. Is it bad if I only eat them once in a while if I am filling up on veggies?

Fruits can be helpful but without knowing more details about your diet, we can not fully answer your question. If your diet is not nailed down, they can be detrimental. With your diet nailed down, they can be an effective way to eliminate that craving for something sweet.

Yes I think that's bad.

It's the wrong attitude to have about food in my opinion. You should be eating for health daily, filling up on veggies to make up for poor habits throughout the day isn't a good long-term strategy.

Eat for health throughout the day, the rest follows from that.

While skipping out on fruits is not the best option, at least you are making up for it with the veggies. Pat yourself on the back for that one. It could be that you are instead loading up on chips and sweets instead, so atleast you are not doing this.

I agree that at least you are getting your dose of veggies. But you do need fruit in your diet as well. If you are not liking canned, then go for frozen or even better fresh. Fresh always tastes better.

My theory is, some fruit is better than none; having said that, as kids, I recall, we rarely had fruit in the house and we all turned out okay.

Sneak fruits into your diet. Add them to cakes, place them in muffins, add them on salads, or you can put them in shakes as well. Get creative.
