Thanks Mike, it is a good concept in my eyes. We will see how it carries over when it comes time to show my strength though.

It looks like it already is. I had a training partner who you met at your first meet who always trained "lighter" and almost never took a maximum attempt in the gym. We competed together 6 times and I think I saw him miss one attempt and that was his first meet after he had a serious medical issue. Legit 198 pounds (2 hour weigh in) , 55 years old, and a 660 pull with no juice. Trust in it, it works.
