From what I gather, the Super Ram is more akin to multiply in terms of usage and has less give in it than the basic Ram...that's how I read it anyway.

That's what they say about the Maddog as well, it's doubleply orientated.

The question I always wonder about, but don't have the answer to is...for the raw lifter, how much overload is enough? If 10% is good, is 20% better? Not sure, but I imagine as long as there are no weaknesses being created, or strength being lost in a certain part of the press, more would be better.

I base my choice on risk/reward. The Slingshot is working, is low risk, moderate reward, so I stick with it. Perhaps the risk/reward is same for the Super Ram. I want to try it one day, and hope to find that the added overload doesn't hammer my strain-prone areas.

I know that is how they sell it, but I think that is more marketing than anything. To me it comes down to strength levels for all of them. A 400lb bencher will need a bigger overload than a 200lb bencher. No matter the gear.

I would use the slingshot or super ram, and unless I was a good equipped lifter, avoid the maddog.

With that being said, I talked to Ken about the super ram one time. He mentioned custom making some with other layers for guys. Now that would be fun to try haha!

I recently had the pleasure of training with Mark Bell and the guys at Supertraining Gym in Sacramento, California for about a month and was able to use the slingshot several times on bench days. After trying the reactive(blue) slingshot the first time I wanted to use it all the time. Then I tried the original(red) slingshot which is a little thicker and gives me more rebound and I wanted to try the maddog(black) but didn't try it because i feel that my bench strength is not at that level yet. I love the slingshot and the assistance it gives with overload training. I asked if anyone in the gym had tried the Ram or Super Ram before and got an interesting response. Everyone who I talked to (several of which wore Titan Gear exclusively) and they all said they prefer the slingshot. I assumed this was for loyalty to Mark but then I found that some of them were actually sponsored by Titan and got the Ram and Super Ram for free but still chose to spend the money to buy and use the slingshot. I never personally tried the Ram but from talking to the guys in that and other gyms I think I will stick with the slingshot.

Just wondering if anyone else feels the slingshot kinda of hit the rear delts? I used the slingshot for speed day today and got a pump in the rear delts.
