That is a basic routine for beginners, like you. It would work well if you are progressing, adding weight or reps every session. When you hit all of your reps and sets, add weight the next time. The secret? Stick with it for longer than a month or two.

As to diet, we would need to know more about you. Height, weight current eating habits. Just guessing, if you are like the teenagers I am working with you are still able to eat pretty much anything without gaining much fat. Teenagers and women tend to have one diet struggle, getting enough protein. So... focus on making sure you get enough protein and the rest will work itself out.

Track starts in about 2 months so I can stick with it. And I'm 6'0" around 120-125 pounds.

Which is more important to you. Throwing or Sprints? Which are you better at...

Not sure what your Competition is like in your area. Normally Taller guys 6ft or taller do better in the 200 and up races. The difference between your 100 and 200 times is just to get in better shape. Your 200m time should be faster then that. Should be in the 24 range. This is way I think its more on the out of shape side. You shouldn't be slowing down at the end or starting off slow and kicking it in at the last. The 200 is a 100% sprint the full length.

So you use Blocks or just stand at the line?

My High School times were 10.49 100m and a 21.89 200m.

You may no like this frankness but in two months you will only be able to get a start on this goal. Focus on the training, but that is only part of the battle, for you to get stronger you will have to get bigger and by that I mean heavier. Eating will be the key. A former track athlete, like Ramrod, should be able to advise you on that more specifically. It won't be easy.

Sprinting is more important to me. So could I lift heavy twice a week and do cardio on non lifting days? Because I still want to be strong and look good for this season.

For workout ideas..

Look good...haha... You'll look better when your winning every race...

Start running some 800m's.. 3x800 on every off day that your not lifting.. Then after your workouts... Work on Blocks and short sprints. 20, 40, 60yd sprints. Once the season starts drop the 800's...

Every practice with a parachute when running...
