Nice benching Jimbo. I really like the consistency of your set up and reps nowadays. Every rep looks exactly the same.

Looked like you could have had that 300 for a double.

thanks Rich!! I was pretty stoked to get 3 singles. I have done 300 with the SS before, but that was just 1 single and it didn't look as good either.

Thanks Mike!! That is likely a big reason I am progressing. I am glad to hear you say I could have had a double, as I was supposed to leave 1 in the tank.

Thanks Ben!! Indeed, the Biomat is recovering me so well its really been a Godsend. It is also great for pre-wo as it warms every cell and fiber in your body, from within. Not much warm up, if any, required before lifting. CNS still needs to be primed tho.

I actually just listened to a podcast about a guy with celiac disease and how he became a bodybuilder because the only things he could eat was chicken and rice. It gave me a lot of insight to the problems you face. I don't know if you'd care to listen because you live it already but here is a link.

Thanks for that Chris! That really made my day. Indeed, i used to be about 140 lbs. I did manage to gain a bit. As soon as I went gluten free, I all of a sudden went to about 185, as my body was now absorbing more of the calories and nutrients. After joining the forum, I went from 185 to 240 during a serious bulk. I literally stuffed enormous amounts of healthy and gluten free food down my throat. That was really a proud accomplishment for me.

having a portion of my intestines permanently damaged and unable to absord calories and nutrients, is a challenge, but I am able and very lucky to control my weight now.

Celiac is so insidious. You can have it and never know it, just like Mr Cole. I was diagnosed as a toddler. However, my mom claimed that the docs told her to slowly ween me back on a regular diet after I got better, so she did. I ate gluten for almost 35 years and shouldn't have. Just before turning 40, I went to my family Doc complaining of constant runs to the bathroom. I just happened to blurt out my mom said I used to have Celiac. She dropped her jaw in disbelief that I was actually still alive really. She said ther eis no such thing as used to having it. There is no cure. Sure enough, I tested positive after they took a tissue sample of my guts.

I am one very lucky son of a gun to be not only alive, but one of the most healthy men over 50 in Canada.

THE BYRDDAWG SESSIONS WEEK 3 DAY 4 OF 4 SQUAT

I simply love having JB as my coach and mentor. All I have to do is put on my hardhat and go to work, and I know everything will fall into place. He inspires me to give everything i have on each and every rep. if he'll have me, I hope to be able to have him in my corner indefinitely. he inspires not only because he is a great legendary powerlifter and good man, but because i feel he genuinely cares about me. if you know my history, that feeling is paramount to my success.

With that said, pretty much everything I lift these days is a PR in some fashion. 415 for a single was my max on September 15th of 2013. Now I can triple it with relative ease, and a fairly recent Max PR of 465, all with little form breakdown. Impossible to wipe the smile off my face and joy in my soul.
