Thanks MAB! I have never had a better training cycle. Rare if ever you will get all 3 lifts moving at the same time, but Brian managed to guide me in the right direction. I cant say enough about his ability to coach and program.

And I can only imagine how tough it must be to program a unit of your caliber JB! Couldn't be happier everything is coming together just at the right time, before a really big meet for you.

Brian Carroll, Clint Smith, and myself basically do the same exact workouts, just different weights and a few various aux to target our specific weakness.


What we call "fluff and buff" days

5x10 lat pull downs (full stack)
3x8 kb swings
shrugs up to 500x8
single leg good mornings 3x8
3x8 one arm rows, light for blood flow.

some core work, lot of bullshitting, and laying out some basic plans for the meet.

Yeah Super Jim, we have a game plan. Of course it can all change on meet day, but I have several ways laid out to get to my overall goal.

Cutty and I were discussing (trash talking) earlier about deadlifts. I figure I would share with you guys about what has helped move mine. I have always been great off the floor, and struggled to lockout weights that should have been no issue. At times it looked like I just hit a brick wall! Here is what we focused on.

I'm intrigued. Thanks for sharing. I am going to experiment with these for several weeks since I had pull-ups planned anyway. Do you typically do 30x1 like the Dr. was saying in the video? Typically do you just rest until you're ready to go again?

I normally do 12-15 sets moving the grip in and out. We go pretty fast so less than 30 seconds break.
