Default Lifting and breathing

K a little back story.
this past Monday well Squating I found myself holding my breath on some of my reps during some of my last sets of the exercise.
This is something I do not generally do as previous reading always says to breath a certain way.
My question is was I hallucinating when I felt the squats become easier. I played with it a bit and it really did seem to allow an easier lift.

I always hold my breath during a squat to make use of the intra-abdominal pressure, both in the lift and keeping the back saf(er).

k although i do not use a belt as of yet this would be along the same line as forcing your abs up against your belt during the lift
The holding the breath would be one more part of it?

Get your air and hold it until the completion of the lift. Makes you tighter and the weights se easier like you said

100% correct. This will help you a lot as you go heavier and heavier.
