Default Alternatives for those who train at home alone

Jonathan - Purchased your book recently and was reading through it. I am excited to give Big a go when I start my next cycle in two weeks. As I prepare, I do have a broad question for you.

There are a few exercises that a. either need two people, ie board presses, or b. need equipment most home gyms don't have, ie leg press. What are some alternatives?

To Help, here is the equipment I have in my gym. Rack, BB with plenty of weights for this geezer. Upper lower Pulley, deadlift platform, 2" riser for deficits, Smith Machine, home made reverse Hyper, and adjustable dumbbells. I use smith machine for my poor man's GHR and a fixed walker for dips.

Bam,
I am able to do the board presses at home alone....I just fold a towel, put it under the boards at the end closest to my waist, and nothing under the end at my chest. The towel balanced it out, and I just brought the bar down and kissed the boards and did not rest the weight on them.

Best Meet Lifts:
Squat = 325
Bench = 210
Dead = 353
Total = 888

The Iron manages to show me how strong I am or how humble I need to be. The iron does not yell, but it always demands respect. The iron is not a disciplinarian, but when disrespected, I feel it for a long time. The iron does not love or hate, but we definitely share a strong bond. And no matter how far I stay away or for how long, the iron is there, waiting to be lifted.

Another way to work around the boards is with a bungee cord. I think MikeM does it that way.

As far as leg press. Front squats or narrow stance squats are a good alternative. You would want to be in the higher rep ranges. The leg press is in there for quad strengthen purposes.

I had thought about just setting my safety bars two boards off of my chest and then coming down to them.

Another thought is you could roll up a few beach towel, duck tape them. Slide them under the shirt.
