Yesterday's training week 6: Deadlift

Warmed up a little and jumped into my working sets of 3

540 x 3
560 x 3
570 x 3

For some reason my grip failed on my set of 560 but I was able to man up and pull my last set at 570 just fine. Weird

Hit 3 sets of 5 at 315 snatch grip deads.

Finished up with some core work
(Side bends and leg raises)

Forgot to keep you guys updated

this past saturday was SKWAT DAY

warmed up and got to my working sets of 3

1 X 3 @ 580
1 x 3 @ 610 (shouldve shut it down here)
last set of 3 @ 625 when i came out of the hole both my quads popped and i had to shut down the rest of the training for the day.

been resting and taking care of these bad boys so training later today will be light until my legs heal up fully.

Once again I've been slacking since I hurt myself last squat day

Tuesdays chest work

Did 10 x 10 incline dumbbell presses (70,80,90,100,110,100,90,80,70,70)

3x 8 skull crushers

Finished it off wth 3 sets of 1 minute hammer curls with 40lbs

Today's "deadlift day"

Legs are starting to feel healthier so I foam rolled and stretched a little then did the following work

3 x 8 goblet squats with 65 lbs

5x5 deadlifts at 135

3 x 50 leg extensions super light

Slowly working back into the weight

Today's training

3 x 8 squats with 135 (took down to parallel felt fine almost back to 100%)

5x5 deadlift @ 185

3x50 leg extensions

Finished off with some ab work and foam rolling

Took some time off for the leg injury and did a mock meet yesterday .

Warmed up and took 655 for a ride in the squat. Flew up pretty fast and depth felt decent.

Hit an easy 405 on bench that I could've done for about 5 reps

Pulled 585 that felt really fast off the floor.

1645 total with loads of weight to spare


Maybe that 1800 in January is doable

Yesterdays Bench training

warmed up then did the following singles:

1 @ 405
1 @ 425
1 @ 440 which is a 10 lb PR. butt moved around quite a bit need to fix that by the time the Expo comes around.

hit 3x3 Pauses at 365

then moved on to 5 sets of 30 tricep pushdowns

ive also moved up to the 242 class with the big boys so we'll see how this goes haha
