Default How to know if its a good bumper plate....

Hello Guys i have received my barbell on friday and i am ready to buy plates which is really confusing on what to buy? can someone help me with it and what should i look for in plates? all i would be doing is bench press, squat and deadlifts. here are some links of plates that looks good to me some cheap some expensive.

Can I ask why bumper plates? The rubber coated are going to be much more expensive than regular olympic iron. Try junkyards and craigslist.

You don't really need bumper plates unless you are doing Olympic lifting. They are too expensive.

Buy cheap Olympic plates. Weight is pretty much weight.

Just understand that some plates may have a slightly smaller diameter, so you will want to measure them to make sure they are close before deadlifting.

If money is the issue, then I agree with everyone else, get normal iron plates. Even new ones will run much cheaper than bumper plates.
