Default Unique take on ab training

Doing fullbody workouts in a gym, dependent on which equipment is available, how many people I have to work in with, etc. can easily take 90 min, sometimes 2 hrs if its busy.

Saving abs for the end of each workout, I don't feel like I can put my all into it and/or I don't want to because I'm beat.

Would doing abs throughout the day, 3-4 days a week be a bad idea?
I have plates and a bench at home so I have a variety of things I could do for them. If I kept the volume the same, is this a feasible option?

I wouldn't be inclined to do abs throughout the day but 3-4 times a week at home, at whatever time you choose to workout seems fine.

Doing abs before back work can weaken the back, so I've read, so you wouldn't want to be doing abs and then going off and doing squats and so forth.

Grease the groove! If you haven't heard of it, google it. I've used this technique myself to build up my pushups and situps and it works. A little work done over and over again every day can work wonders.

before I head to the gym. I lay down and do a glute bridge (working in a chair all day has blessed me with a plevic tilt) and then I do 2 minutes of ab rollouts with a wheel. Its not a lot, but I feel it in my abs and it helps correct my tilt and gives some strengthening. Just what i do anyway. *shrug*

I do not know about the back weakening thing but sometimes I use ab work as a warm up
I do the glute bridges too - I am "blessed" with anterior pelvic tilt as well
