Had the best compliment I have ever had in the gym
Went something like this

Random beefy 50 y.o. man "It is a real joy to watch you squat."

Me: "thanks..." (thinking that sounds kinda creepy)

Random: "All these idiots go half way down with no wait, you go ass to grass like squatting is your religion."

Haha no kidding! The first time I grew a set of nuts was on poliquin's Advanced GVT...10 sets of 5/4/3. Back then I had been doing "DC Training" and listening to all the DC'ers talk about how "intense" it is.

After doing 10 str8 sets on an exercise when you were ready to quit before your 5th set I formed a different opinion on what having a big set of balls looks like. When you're doing 10 x 3 and every set from your first to last your mind is debating with your muscles on wether or not you'll make all 10 sets you get a new kind of mental toughness.

I loved GVT when I tried it just didnt see the gains I wanted. Might run a couple weeks so that I can slim down after bulking on smolov

Well I was talking about the lower rep version is that the one you ran? 10 sets of 5 with 10RM, then 10 sets of 4 heavier, then 10 sets of 3 heavier again and cycle. Though I am currently doing 1 heavy 10x3 day a week and 1 light 10x10 day for each muscle group and kinda loving it.
