My ankle has been hurting the last few days, enough that my eyes water from the pain when I walk but I have to use it, I'm using different braces hoping one helps. I need to get some mid top shoes for work since that seems to be where it hurts the worst.

I got some good sleep yesterday, worked hard and hopefully those couple nights were just a glitch.

: No stims.

Good and I hope so!

I have been dealing with some plantar fasciitis and some right front ankle pain, but not as bad as yours. definitely have to work up the mobility. I think my work boots are the main culprit as well. Check your calves (gastrocs/soleus) and even yor tibials...sometimes, tight calves pull the ankle out of whack.

I definitely have tight calves, the surgery I think was a botch and removed something I needed because it's always a stability issue and the stability muscles are always so sore which is usually what it is.

Another day down, wearing the big boy brace the last two days have made it bearable.

surgeries take a while.

Body and mind are hesitant. Scar tissue to work out, etc.

But, you hit on a key to recovery... strong muscles support weak joints and damaged muscles need to be "over strong" to recover.

I pulled a quad once. Never had medical attention. Took 15 years to get it to the point where scar tissue wasn't visible (knotting under the skin), muscles contracted normal and it didn't factor into every leg move I did.

Spine surgery was similar...took me a year to deadlift 135 and it's still something I have to pay attention to. Surgery was in 2000.

Big ships turn slow...you're the captain and you've got work to do!

Successful people do what they have to whether they feel like it or not.

Took a week off. Came back swinging today.

8/5

Sumo DL - 135x3, 225, 275, 315, 365, 405, 315, 275, 225, 135x1

It sounds like a lot but I changed from sets of 5 to singles, it's giving me better set up time and I'm keeping the rest periods somewhat short.

Military Press - 95, 135, 155x3, 185x2, 135x3

I like doing a light set after my heavy sets. I might make it a x8 or something, really just getting back going in the gym.

Planks - 3 for 30 seconds a piece
fml :volk

Side Lateral Raise - 10x12, 10x12, 10x12
Burn baby burn.

DL vid:

Thanks for all of the help and encouragement
