some ideas...
-Weight to be used :75% of bw for men, 50% bw for women.
-NO knee bend is allowed
-belt and wrist wraps are allowed
-must clearly lock out bar with a slight pause at the top
-Bar may NOT be motionless for any longer than 10 seconds

Most reps lifted following these rules wins.
I'll fire this up, and use both a 50% and 75%...just for fun.

Lifter may be seated or standing.

Not sure how many women could strict press 50% of their BW, very few, I'd imagine.

Gidday,

Why not have a Powerlifting Comp ?

Do the big 3 for as much weight as you can handle and put up a video of it.

To take the win, it should be judged by the good folk of MAB and you should be going for Epicness and effort rather than just trying to out lift the last fellah.

PRs are a great way to win, particularly if you throw in a grunt to go with it.

Just a thought.

Cheers, Nath.

What about double body weight deadlifts for reps?

I've considered an online competition several times per year. Maybe this is something we need to pursue.

Yeah I think so, obviously its not a hard core comp but I figure it can be used for a training run for the more active competitor and it can be a "have a go" for the newer lifter, and a heap of fun for everyone else.

As for hitting depth and pausing ect, its properly up to the competitor to call it good or bad, but they have to put up the video so we can all see the lifts.

Just a few thoughts, more latter, Nath.

Deadlift for reps & or heaviest Deadlift.
Nazi rules don't apply, the point is to get people push themselves & Pulling more.
Allows everyone to compete while increasing strength levels.
