The iron is there during my times of happiness, sadness and anger. The iron is there available through the 4 seasons and inclement weather. The iron is there to either comfort me or motivate me. The Iron manages to show me how strong I am or how humble I need to be. The iron does not yell, but it always demands respect. The iron is not a disciplinarian, but when disrespected, I feel it for a long time. The iron does not love or hate, but we definitely share a strong bond. And no matter how far I stay away or for how long, the iron is there, waiting to be lifted.

Thanks Hit!! It's a 1990 and untouched with only 26,000 Miles. Ford only built 150 of these Canadian cars, of which very few were 5 speeds. It's a 7-Up car commissioned by the 7-Up Bottling Company.

JUST A QUICK UPDATE

Remember that sore thumb I mentioned? Well, as it turns out it was a full blown infection and almost spread to my whole hand. I have no idea what caused it, but Saturday night, after the Mustang Show and after setting a Prime Rub Buffet PR, I had to go to the ER as the pain was becoming too intense. I spent 8 hours there until 4:00AM while the got the infection under control. They then sent me home with a home IV unit that will likely be removed Tuesday AM. The thumb is feeling better and more resembles a thumb again. Man, never thought it would come to this. Everyone originally thought it was just a bump or maybe I slept on it. The hospital took X-rays and blood work as well and those were normal. The Docs have no idea what caused it. It's sort of a mystery illness much like that rash and swelling I got on my lower legs last year in California.

I know I'm stubborn in that I should have went to the hospital earlier that day, but i didn't want to miss the show, like I did my powerlifting meet. That Mustang is truly my 1st love and I was not to be denied going to my 1st show with it in 18 years with it. Everybody shit their pants in disbelief after seeing the car. It really is a stunning survivor car that is untouched in 23 years, right down to the original tires. Even all the light bulbs are original. Even tho it is such, it has been driven at least some with 26,000 miles, yet it is in museum pristine condition. As you all know, it really doesn't take many miles for even a new car to show wear and tear.

The car was true love at first sight, just like Mrs Squatter was, and when I fall in love with something or someone, it sticks forever, just like lifting. There is so much history with the car. For example, I worked 14 hour days 6-7 days per week for 4 years to pay for it back in the early nineties. The car was $27,000 new. Not a day goes by where I don't think about all the things I love.

The car took 1st place in the 79-93 class and finished 2nd in best of show voting.

I'm hoping to resume lifting Tuesday! And I'm well rested!!

Here's a photo from the show:

Here's a photo of me with the home IV Unit:

Here's a bonus pic of my Dog!

Bad stuff seems to happen to you, yet you stay positive.
That is what I think of when somebody mentions The Squat Man.
Car looks beautiful by the way. Congrats on the wins.
