Stick with the program, less work doesn't mean less gains!

It will take time, but everyone started where you were at some point. Most are still on their way and some have already reached their goals, but it is a journey. Make sure you enjoy it!

I appreciate the encouragement y'all. Its not something I get often in reference to weightlifting. In my social circle, people think its odd that I go to the gym because since I'm already skinny they don't understand why I want to gain weight. Because you know, the only reason a non-athletic works out is to lose weight, right?
That is what we are here for. I laughed at that ^ SIGH
Keep at it and blow their minds.

MAB Full Body Workout
Friday June 14, 2013

Squats 20X65
I'd never done 20 rep squats before, but I believe I could have used a little more weight, because this weight wasen't as hard as I thought it would be. I was initially going to just use the bar.

Bench Press (DB)
8x40
8x40
6x40
I assume the workout calls for barbell bench press, but since I don't have a workout partner, I always use dumbells.

Barbell Rows
8x85
8x85
6x85
This is an exercise I'm still learning. I feel like my form goes all to hell once I get past about 75lbs. I can still feel my back working, but more so my arms.

Dumbell Curls
10x25
8x25
6x25

Abs: Leg Raises 3x20

I'm liking this workout so far. Now if I can just get my diet on point, and eat enought to make this all work. I'm definately going to put y'all suggestions into action, especially in terms of adding elements to regular protein shakes rather that buying weight gainers. I've gotta get some tomorrow, any suggestions for a good brand that cost effective?

Gidday mate, You have a starting point for your 20 rep squats now so just slap some more weight on , nothing to be afraid of.Good work on everything else. On your rows, try some fat gripz or underhand grip to really smoke your back muscles. As for protein powder, There is a shop here that sells some good stuff, Cheers Nath.

Doing good! You may want to consider picking up a pair of lifting straps for you rows; it will help.

nice work adam,

I train on my own and use BB bench press but nothing wrong with DB bench press.

BB rows do take a bit of a knack to get use too.

for the 20 rep squat better to start of light, just add 5lbs each time you hit 20.

Same here, except for when I'm going close to maximum weight, with sets of 3 or less, kinda thing. Then I'll request a spot from someone first (I have no workout partner).
