Oh, I got it my friend.

Yesterday we had my baby girl's first birthday party, and I chowed down. Tons of carbs, all in preparation for squatting today, and it paid off.

Squats-
45x5
135x5
225x3

Add suit and belt, straps down-
315x2
365x2
405x2

Straps up, add Titan THP knee wraps-
455x1
495x1
535x1 PR
555x1 PR

Straps down, belt on, no wraps-
405x4

Prowler push-
50x2
90x2
180x2

For the 555 I actually had a powerlifter judging me for depth. He said I probably would have gotten redlighted in the USAPL, but it was good overall. It feels great to finally get what I believe is a good representation of my current strength level. I wish I could have done my knee wraps tighter. I need more experience to get them on there really good and get everything I can from them, but what I got from them still helped.

I wanted to get some more prowler time in, but it's memorial day and the gym was closing early. No worries, this was still a great day.

Upper body day today. Unfortunately I've had to go into full rehab mode for my shoulder, because it just refuses to get any better. It got better to a certain point, and now I'm just stuck, and it's extremely frustrating.

I started by pushing a prowler, using just my arms to push it so it would slide a couple feet, only loaded with 50lb. After that I did some extremely light work on the lateral raise machine.

From there it was on to some heavier upper back work.

I think I've figured out why I hurt myself. My upper back got lose. I'm going to have to hammer my form work and my upper back really hard to prepare myself to continue to train with these heavier weights successfully, or these injuries will continue to happen. I also need to do more shoulder work, because my shoulders are definitely a weak link in my bench press.

I'm also seriously considering a big cut. I don't want to lose any strength, but I'm really getting fat. Since my last cycle ended and I got into PCT my muscles aren't pumped and my gut is more prevalent. I think I can lose quite a bit of weight without losing a significant amount of strength, and that would be a good thing.

Elite is elite, and I think I'd be happier and healthier if I was elite at 198 or 220 instead of elite at 275.

Squat day yesterday. Unfortunately my conditioning and my rep strength have both taken a big hit lately, even though my max strength feels really good. I've got work to do, but this was a good session.

Squat-
45x5
45x5
135x5
225x5

Add belt-
275x3

Add wraps-
315x3
365x2
405x1

No wraps, no belt-
315x3

Leg press-
2pps x 10
4pps x 8
6pps x 5
7pps x 4
6pps x 6

Good mornings with EFTS monster mini bands (Not sure of bar weight, only plate weight listed)-
Bar x 8
90x5
140x5
90x8
90x8

Lots of work to do, and hopefully my foot won't be an issue soon and I can get back to doing some conditioning work, because I am SOOO out of shape right now, it's not even funny.

So unfortunately it looks like I should have paid much more attention to what I was eating while we were down in Florida, because I gained 10 effing lb while we were there. That's 1lb a day! Jesus Christ!

No worries. I'm home, and I'm back on track. We were staying with my parents while we were gone and they just keep so much damn food around, and there was also lots of beer. Back here at home I've got work to keep me busy and I can control what food I eat. I should shed what I gained and then some very quickly, and then I can get put my focus on that 500 raw squat again.
