Ketosis is A sign of fat burning happening on a low carb diet, but it is not THE only sign. don't fret, I have seem some folks have to get under 50g carbs daily for a week or two straight (no carb ups) before that happens. I am one who is so carb sensitive that I can knock myself out of ketosis with one carb laden meal. Ketosis, or lack there of, is not necessary for you to be burning fat.

Okay, this all makes sense. I think you're right, fen. I guess I should just be happy with not feeling like complete ass today. I feel so much better than I have any day since wednesday.

That is good, a sign that you are getting acclimated to burning fat for energy rather than sugars. Stick with it.

Today I broke the carb fast. After hitting a wall energy-wise, I had to listen to my body. Carbed up pretty big after my attempt at training today. Hopefully I will be ready to smash tomorrow and get started with the cycling part of the program.
